Kira N. Darling

Kira N. Darling passed away April 17, 2023 in Murray, Utah. She was born October 18, 1973 in Salt Lake City, Utah to James Melvin Dalton & Nancy Zelda Powell Dalton. She married Jerry D. Darling on October 4, 2003. On October 5, 2006, Kira had the unexpected pleasure of becoming a mother to Mason Dalton Darling, one of the greatest joys of her life as she was told she would not be able to have children.
Kira was an amazing cook; a great hostess and a coordinator of both friends and family. She was a surrogate mom to so many. She had such a big heart. She would open up her home to anyone in need. She absolutely loved her furry kids as part of her family. She loved music and thrived at the opportunity to be at or involved with any musical events. She was a fabulous photographer and was also a talented practitioner of Wicca.
She is survived by her husband Jerry Darling, son Mason Darling, brother James Dalton, Sisters, Holly Anderson and Melanie Smith, as well as nephews: Paul Anderson IV, Nicholas Anderson, Dalton Smith, Brendan Buckner, and Benson Wicks. Nieces: Daphney Bryant, Nixie Dalton, Melina Smith and Bailey Neff. She also had many extended family, friends and her band family.
She was preceded in death by her father James Melvin Dalton, mother, Nancy Zelda Powell Dalton, mother-in-law, Rebecca Bailey Deaton as well a many grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Services will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at 5:00-6:00 pm at Memorial Murray Mortuary, 5850 South 900 East, Murray, Utah 84121. A viewing will be held prior to the service. Interment will be at Memorial Holladay Cemetery, 4900 South Memory Lane, Holladay, Utah.
