Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Brother and Uncle passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Thursday the 18th of May.
Koloti was born on the 14th of August in 1932 in Apia, Western Samoa. He was the eldest son of Apuauro Puletiu and Tulali Laulu. He spent time in Le’pa and was raised in Fa’ala Palauli Savaii with his brothers and many sisters. At age 18, he moved to Auckland, New Zealand to pursue his independence and later as a young adult, he met and married Seutatia Leauanae where together they had 9 children. Koloti was a hard-working dedicated provider for his family. He enjoyed working for Reid Rubber manufacturing where he retired at the age of 50. In 1982 he was sadly widowed. He then later married Asofa in 1985 and a year after they moved to the United States. Koloti proudly became a US citizen in 1993.
Koloti was known for his love of music, he often would sing at home, in church choir and was a brilliant choir conductor. During his early 20’s he played trumpet in a Glen Miller style band and claimed Louis Satchmo Armstrong as among his musical heroes. He was a life long devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where he served in various capacities faithfully.
