Kristy Lynn Carpenter Walker

Kristy Lynn Carpenter Walker, 67, was released from her pain on April 17, 2024. Born on April 8, 1957, to Darrell and Anita Carpenter of Salt Lake City, Utah. She spent her growing up years in the valley and graduated from Cottonwood High School in 1975. After which she became a wife to Gordon Walker, on August 23, 1979. Together they grew their family by bringing home a son, Christopher, followed by a daughter Aneaya (Steve) Sorensen.

Once divorced Kristy made the decision to pursue her degree from Salt Lake Community College and graduated in 1990. She worked over 30 years for the Office of Recovery Services, retiring only two years ago in hopes of spending the rest of her time with her precious grandchildren, both in Arizona and North Dakota. Unfortunately, soon after retirement her health took a turn for the worse and she has been fighting to maintain it ever since.

Throughout her life Kristy gave love to so many through her words, actions, and intent listening ear. She cared deeply for her Savior, Jesus Christ and held a deep personal relationship with Him. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints she held many callings and chose to give service to those around her. Until we meet again, we will hold her in our hearts.

Kristy is survived by her mother, Anita Carpenter, her two siblings Jerry (June) Carpenter, and Carolyn Carpenter Moser, her children, Chistopher Walker, and Aneaya (Steven) Sorensen, her grandchildren, Damian, Bryton, Draven Sorensen and Alerah, Avanlea, Kyren, Acaysia Walker and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
