Our sweet Landon got his angel wings and returned home far too soon.

There simply aren’t enough words to describe the loving, caring, and gentle man Landon was. He loved wholeheartedly and selflessly, always putting the people he loved before himself. He was our gentle giant—built like an ox, with a heart the size of Texas.

Landon was a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend. He carried so much on his broad shoulders, always wanting to protect and care for his mom, his two younger brothers, and his dad. He loved deeply, and those fortunate enough to know him knew just how big his heart truly was.

Landon was happiest when surrounded by the people he loved. He cherished the special time he spent with his loving cousins and grandparents, making treasured memories while boating, camping, golfing, fishing, and enjoying family game nights. He especially loved cheering on BYU football and watching the games. Landon enjoyed making friends and talking to people wherever he went. He truly made you feel seen. Landon grew up in Draper where he created lifelong friends. Many a summer nights were spent goofing off, pulling pranks, causing trouble, and just being boys. He went to Corner Canyon High School where he played on both the basketball and football teams. So many fun memories were created to last a lifetime. Times together with family and friends brought Landon immeasurable joy and created memories that all will hold close to their hearts forever.

Landon was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a deep love for his Heavenly Father and Savior. His faith was an important part of who he was. He served in the Texas Fort Worth mission, and devoted his whole heart. He had a special connection with the people of Texas and loved them all so much.

We are heartbroken that his life was cut short far too soon. There were still so many memories to make and moments that we thought we would have together. We will miss his laugh, bright smile, warm hugs, big blue eyes, stunning red hair, witty sense of humor, willingness to help, and simply having him here.

We believe Landon knew he was meant for a greater purpose in this life. He carried emotional pain deeper than most of us could fully grasp, and he left this world far too soon. Though our hearts are broken by his passing, Landon found a way to continue caring for others. Through organ donation, Landon was able to save five lives, with the potential to help many more through tissue and bone donation. It is difficult to imagine a greater final act of love and selflessness. This is exactly who Landon was, a giver until the very end! 

His life mattered. His love mattered. His legacy will continue to live on through his family, friends, and the lives of the people who will receive the incredible gifts he left behind.

Landon is survived by his two younger brothers, Dallin (23), Alex (21), his parents, Natalie and Matthew, and his beloved Goldendoodle, Nani.
