Survived by three brothers: Dan, Wade and Brad, and a sister, Stacy Hampton.

Lane was preceded in death by his parents, an older brother Mark and the youngest of the family, Chad.

Lane died at the Intermountain Medical Hospital in Murray, Utah as a result of cardiopulmonary respiratory heart failure.

Lane was born in Murray, Utah and attended Skyline High School in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was a skilled worker with his hands and began his employment history at Streeters Chevrolet in Salt Lake City. He then moved to Southern California and worked as a travelling parts and service specialist for Sears. Lane learned to fix anything in a home and used those skills as a maintenance manager at many apartment complexes.

These four women were special influences and significant parts of his life: Shauna, Nicola, Kathy and Becky.

While in California, Lane made a huge difference caring for his parents during the last years of their lives.

Lane excelled in his hobby as a wood carver, and many family and friends have beautiful creations of wood Mickeys and incredible nature scenes. Disneyland was a cherished family tradition and Lane knew the park well.

He was always easy to talk to. Since he had the gift of being a good listener, strangers quickly became friends.

Lane's death came suddenly as a surprise to all. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A graveside service will be held at a later date for family and friends.
