Larry Darrell Webb

On Sunday, April 2, 2023, we received the phone call no one wants to receive, informing us that our beloved son, brother, father, and husband, Larry Darrell Webb, passed away. At the young age of 10 years old, Larry was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes. Larry passed away at the age of 44 due to complications with the disease.
At the time of death, Larry was living in Tigard, Oregon. He was flown to his home state of Utah on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, to be laid to rest on April 15, 2023, at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery.
Larry was born in Murray, Utah, on January 7, 1979, to Douglas Webb and Terri Smith. Larry was a fun energetic young child who learned to ride a unicycle almost instantly. He loved riding his unicycle in the West Jordan 4th of July parades, dressed as a clown, balancing his lovely young daughter, Larrissa, on his shoulders. Larry was talented enough to bounce his unicycle, land on a four foot high handrail and ride along the railing. Larry rode his unicycle in the mountains up and down rocky cliffs, bouncing rock to rock. Imagine that! Extreme BMX bikes have two wheels to their advantage – while Larry had only one.
Larry married Mio Okada; they had a beautiful daughter, Larrissa. Larry and Mio later ended their marriage. Larry and his new wife, Diana Huff Webb, moved to Oregon. Larry fell in love with crabbing in the ocean, playing on the beach, and camping in a tent with Diana. Larry loved having family and friends come to visit. He took them crabbing and cooked the crab for everyone to enjoy.
Larry will be greatly missed by his wife, Diana, his two year old pure breed chow, Kova, children, Zachary Ruiz and Larrissa Webb, father, Douglas Webb (Mo), mother, Terri Smith (Greg), brothers, Mark Webb, David Gillette, and Jarred Baker, step-brothers, step-sisters, and only living grandparent, Mary Adolphson, (Larry adored his Grandma Mary), many nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Larry was preceded in death by his grandfather, Darrell Webb, step-grandfather, Jim Kitto, grandmother, Gwena Webb Kitto, uncle, Donald (Shakey) Webb, grandfather, Norvell Hofeling, and uncle, Steven Hofeling.
Larry had the biggest heart and a contagious smile. He was a private and quite person, but also very witty and fun! He was fearless, sensitive, and incredibly compassionate. He was a strong fighter. Larry is now sailing on a journey to shores that we cannot see. We know that he is free from pain and is floating peacefully with family and friends that have passed before him.
Larry, our hearts are broken. We love and miss you.
Larry’s viewing will be April 14, 2023, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah. Funeral services will be held the following day on Saturday, April 15, 2023 from 1:30 – 3:00 PM with viewing held prior from 12:30 – 1:30 PM at Landmark Apostolic Church 3950 South Redwood Road, West Valley City, Utah. Interment will follow back at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery.
