Larry Ray Taylor passed away peacefully October 19, 2009. He was born in Clearwater, Nebraska on January 14, 1936 to Dorothy Beed and Raymond Taylor.

Larry served in the National Guard and National Guard Reserves. He was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church since 1972, where he served as a Facilities Director for 20 years.

Larry is survived by his children, Mark (Patricia), Nancy (Thomas), Kent (Casey), Jarred (Stephanie), and Nicholas (Samantha); 10 grandchildren, Ashley, Britton, TJ, Chris, Jeremy, McKenzie, Annie, Maxwell, Mia, Max; and a great-grandchild, Kaeden; and his many friends and associates from Christ United Methodist Church and the Great Salt Lake Council of the Boy Scouts of America.

A memorial service will be held Friday, October 23, 2009 at 4:00p.m. at Christ United Methodist Church, 2375 East 3300 South. Online condolences to the family may be sent at: www.holbrookmortuary.com

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Larry Taylor Campship Fund, 2375 East 3300 South, Salt Lake City, Utah 84109 to enable Boy Scouts in need of financial assistance to attend summer camp.
