Laura C Bartlett Stingley

Sep 11, 1949 — Sep 9, 2024

Lehi

Laura Cecelia Bartlett Stingley was born on September 11, 1949, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Robert E. Bartlett Jr. and Lavon L. Sadler. She was the first child in a family of five girls. After suffering from poor health for many years, Laura passed away peacefully with her children at her side on September 9, 2024. Laura was intelligent and had a quiet, creative nature, she enjoyed reading, drawing, and painting watercolors, and enjoyed dancing when she was growing up.  She loved her children very much.

Laura had a wonderful experience growing up with loving, caring parents, grandparents and a large extended family. She enjoyed camping, boating trips, holiday celebrations and also enjoyed traveling, she especially liked Southern California and Disneyland with her family.  She also enjoyed traveling with some of her grandchildren to both Disneyland and Walt Disney World. Laura attended Olympus High School class of 1967. She then went on to get her BA in psychology and art at Brigham Young University in 1971. Laura was a life-long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Laura has now completed her mortal schooling and journey of life and has gone to be with loved ones, family and friends, on the other side of the veil. We know her reunion must have been a joyous one and we are happy for her.

Laura married George Stingley in 1971, later divorced.  Laura is survived by her children and grandchildren, Melissa Kirkham (Shaun), Jason Stingley (Beth), Andrew Stingley, and Tara Dye (Jeremy).  Also survived by siblings, Kristine B. Orr (David), Anita B. Bacigalupo, and Janet B. Furner (James).  Predeceased by her parents, Robert E. and Lavon S. Bartlett, and her sister, Peggy Lee Bartlett and brother-in-law Craig Bacigalupo.
