Leamarie Navy Western

April 30, 2020 — May 6, 2025

Leamarie Navy Western left this earthly life on Wednesday, May 6, 2025, at age 5 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She came into this world on April 30, 2020, at the beginning of a global pandemic and was a constant reminder that love, beauty, and joy still existed amidst all the uncertainties of the world.

Lea was vibrant, fearless, and full of light. She brought the best energy into every space she entered and pure happiness into the lives of those lucky enough to know her. Our “Lea bug” may have looked little on the outside, but her personality was huge on the inside. She knew exactly what she wanted out of life and didn’t hesitate to make it happen. She had an imagination beyond comprehension and could turn anything into a whole other world to explore. She was the sparkliest of princesses who loved to get dirty. She dressed in sparkles and frills from head to toe, but that never slowed her down. This princess has driven a boat, a riding lawn mower, and a go-kart. She loved to snowboard, hike, swim, ride, camp, and climb, and she did it all covered in glitter and dressed to impress. She loved to sing and dance, and often walked around just happily singing to herself.

Lea had the ability to make you feel loved. She gave the best snuggles as she melted into you while sucking her middle fingers as you tickled her back. She was not hesitant to show affection and made everyone who had the privilege of knowing and loving her feel so special.

She was preceded in death by her sister Abigail Petersen, Her parental grandparents Jana Harris and Robert Wimmer, and great aunt Stacey Bryant.

Lea is survived by her mother, Angela Western, her father, Bryson Western and her siblings: Max Petersen, Ray Western, Hope Western, Amara Hendrix-Western, and Phoenix Western. as well as her maternal grandparents Dean and Liz Owens, aunt Margo (Tim) Davis, uncle Victor Owens, uncle Michael (Alyssa) Owens, and many cousins and friends who have become family.

Her absence is deeply felt—and her memory will always live on in the hearts of those who loved her most.
