Leann Carroll

LeAnn Carroll was born August 8, 1942 to Evan and Winafred Carroll. She passed away Thursday, January 26, 2023 at the age of 80. She was the mother of 5 children: Ken Wright, Steve (Debbie) Wright, DyAnn (Spencer) Smith, CJ (Dave) Abel and David (Robin) Jackson.
She spent most of her life in the Salt Lake area, graduating from Olympus High School. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served faithfully in many callings. She was employed by Chapman-Richards & Associates as a secretary from 1997 to 2011. She served in the Alpine German speaking mission from 2011-2012. After that, according to her voicemail, she was “out living her life and having fun.”
She is survived by her children and their spouses, 21 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and her sister ElRae. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jerry Wright, her sister Pat, and her granddaughter Erika Smith.
The funeral will be on Monday, January 30, 2023 at 2:00 pm in the chapel at Memorial Lake Hills Mortuary & Cemetery, 10055 South State Street, Sandy, Utah. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Lake Hills Memorial following the funeral service.
