Leeann Kalt Whatcott

August 18, 1950 — December 13, 2009

Loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt & friend, LeeAnn Kalt Whatcott born August 18, 1950, passed away Sunday December 13, 2009 as the result of a household accident, after many years of struggle with chronic health problems. The daughter of Ron & Shirley Kalt, she graduated from Skyline High School and Robert Stuer College of Beauty. Married Louis Whatcott in the Salt Lake Temple, Jan 17, 1969. An accomplished artist and floral designer, for Pearson Floral, she produced many wonderful works of art and floral arrangements. She directed the artwork for many church plays and decorations for dances. She taught many craft classes for Relief Society and MIA. Unable to have children she acted as a surrogate mother for many. She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Kalt. She is survived by her husband, Louis Whatcott; father, Ronald Kalt (Kaneohe, HI); sisters, Bridget Tartaro (Bristol, RI), Lydia Kalt and Stephanie Kalt (Kaneohe, HI); and numerous nieces and nephews. Her sweet and loving spirit will be remembered by friends and family with great fondness. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at the LDS Ridgedale ward, 3400 S. 1100 E. Salt Lake City, at 11:00 a.m. Viewings will be held Monday evening, December 28 at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 S. 2300 E. from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and at the church Tuesday morning from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will take place in Latona Park at the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 S. Highland Drive. Online condolences may be sent to the family at: www.holbrookmortuary.com
