Leona “Lee” Williams DeNiro, 82, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2026, in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born on December 17, 1943, in Pasadena, California to Jack and Christine Williams.

On August 20, 1966, Lee married the love of her life, Joe DeNiro. Together, they shared 60 years of a beautiful, deeply devoted marriage filled with love, partnership, and shared adventures.

Lee lived life with a vibrant sense of adventure. She loved hiking, biking, scuba diving, and skiing. Among her many travel milestones, she and Joe achieved the incredible accomplishment of hiking together to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. Closer to home, she found immense joy in the quiet beauty of gardening and tending to her plants.

Lee also had a deep passion for cooking and was exceptionally talented in the kitchen. For Lee, food was an expression of love, and she was happiest when sharing a homemade meal surrounded by her family and closest friends.

She will be profoundly missed by her beloved husband, Joe; her three children, Marcy, Steve, and David (Angie); and her four cherished grandchildren, along with many extended family members and lifelong friends.
