Leonardo Alarcon Avila, age 25, passed away on July 4, 2026, in West Jordan, Utah.
He was born on February 14, 2001, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Celestina Avila Perez and Leodgario Alarcon Mojica. He married Tayzia Marierose Cordova on March 16, 2025.
When he was a child, he loved the outdoors. He enjoyed soccer and video games. He met the love of his life in 2020 and adopted Payton and Jamison, and they had Aiden in July of 2021. He was a proud father, devoted husband, loving brother, and son. He touched many lives with his profound sense of humor, creativity, curiosity, and generosity. He loved taking his children, niece Catalina, and nephew Avianne on walks. He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Tayzia, and his three children, Payton, Jamison, and Aiden. He is also survived by his mom, dad, his sister Britney, and his brother Mike.
He was preceded in death by Eduardo Madrigal, his childhood best friend.
Funeral services will be held on July 13, 2026, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints building, located at 7511 South 2700 West, West Jordan, Utah. The viewing will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m., with funeral services beginning at 2:00 p.m.
Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Memorial Estates, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah.
