Our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, Letha Gayler passed away peacefully, November 9, 2009. She was born on June 23, 1921 in Clearfield Utah, married her sweetheart in Los Angeles CA on May 15, 1937, and together they raised three daughters. She was a cheerful homemaker who took great pride in her family. She was a master at creating a comfortable home and served wonderful meals with love - and always dessert. She was a pastry chef and made things taste so very good. Letha lost her sweetheart in 1991 and has lived alone since that time. She was an excellent Bridge player, and in her subtle way was the life of every party. Her great wit and cheerful outlook on life has been an inspiration to all who knew and loved her. Letha was also an avid reader and enjoyed social events with her friends. Her last years were spent back in Utah, where she loved the seasons, the mountains, blue skies with white fluffy clouds; all aspects of the beautiful earth that we have been given.
Letha is survived by her three daughters, two son-in-laws, thirteen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
The family will gather together with friends to show their love and honor her on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, Salt Lake City. Interment will be at the Rose Hills Mortuary in Southern California where Letha will be buried next to her beloved in the "Garden of Love". Online condolences may be sent to the family at: www.holbrookmortuary.com
She has been a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend; she will be greatly missed. We love you Mom!
