Lilis Ann Palmer Hardy, age 69, of Salt Lake City, Utah, died Thursday, April 3, 2008. She was born September 28, 1938, the daughter of Marcellus Palmer and Wanda Petersen. Ann graduated from Olympus High School and received a Bachelors of Science degree in Education at the University of Utah in 1961. She was an active member of the Phi Mu sorority. She married Larry R. Hardy on September 16, 1960 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Ann taught school at Cottonwood, Rolling Meadows and Howard R. Driggs Elementary schools. She retired in 1994 due to a heart attack. She was a talented seamstress and crocheter. Ann loved traveling, family reunions, cruises, and spending time with her 13 grandchildren. She was an avid reader and belonged to the Retired Educators Book Club. She was an active member of the LDS Church and served in Young Women, Sunday School and Cub Scouts.

She is survived by her husband, Larry; two sons and two daughters: Sean P. Hardy (Carrie), Apache Junction, AZ, Jane Kunelius (Ed), Bellingham, MA, Steven P. Hardy (Lynn), Apache Junction, AZ, and Ginger Dunn (Brian), Cottonwood Heights; one brother, Richard M. Palmer of North Las Vegas, NV and one sister, Debra P. Hanson of Dammeron Valley, UT.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at 12:00 noon at the Olympus 2nd Ward, 3070 East Nila Way (4120 South). Friends and family may visit on Monday evening, April 7, 2008 at Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Tuesday morning at the church from 10:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M., prior to services. Interment: Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. Online condolences may be sent to www.holbrookmortuary.com. Ann's family request that in lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints perpetual education fund.
