Lillian Y Nakamura

Lillian Yuriko Nakamura passed away on October 18, 2022 in Salt Lake City at the age of 94.  She was born on April 9, 1928 in Worland, WY to Manpei Ujifusa and Toyoko Inui.  She married Thomas Tetsuo Nakamura on March 26, 1950.  Lillian worked as a supervisor at an insurance company for over 30 years. She was an active member at the Japanese Church of Christ.  She enjoyed playing cards, bowling, sewing, doing crossword puzzles, and was an avid reader.  Lillian had a beautiful infectious smile.  She loved to help family and friends and loved all of us unconditionally.  Her love for us will remain in our hearts and her spirit will guide us.  We are grateful to the staff at Sunnyside Assisted Living and Ashby Home Health and Hospice for their loving care.
 
Lillian is survived by daughters Sandra Matsushita (John) and Cynthia Perry (Bob); granddaughter Amanda Christopherson (John); grandson Tommy Matsushita; great granddaughter Abigail Christopherson; great grandson Samuel Christopherson; her brother Frank Ujifusa; sister Tsuya “Chic” Ujifusa; sister-in-law Jean Ujifusa, and Manny Nakamura; brother-in-law Mike Matsui and many nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her husband, her son, 3 brothers and 1 sister.
 
No funeral services will be held at Lillian’s request.
