"Beloved Grandmother"

Our beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend reunited unexpectedly with her sweetheart, surrounded by her family, on Monday May, 30 2011. She was born July 27, 1937 to Udell and Lucille Kuhre in Pocatello, ID and later moved to Salt Lake City, Utah.

Linda married Harlow Stayner Lees in the Salt Lake City Temple on April 13, 1960.

She attended East High School and graduated from the University of Utah with a B.S. in Elementary Education and taught for a few years at William Penn Elementary before becoming a stay-at-home mom.

Linda was a strong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She held many positions over the years, and loved the Primary callings the most. She was an active member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers organization.

She was a devoted mother. During her later years, she struggled with health issues and tried to put on her best face through her adversity. She lived for her grandchildren and although her mobility was limited, she remained deeply connected to their lives. She was an avid Dr.Oz viewer and really enjoyed the Lifetime Movie Network.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by children Mark Lees, Tracey (Roy) Bean, Karen (Tim) Newell and her grandchildren Victoria, Sydney, and Andrew (Bean) and Sam, Max, and Emily (Newell), her brother-in-law Mel Arrington and two nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Thursday June 2, 2011 at the Winder 2nd Ward Building, 1361 E. 4000 S., Salt Lake City.
