Lisa Ann McGeary

January 31, 1959 – November 18, 2025 West Valley City, Utah

Lisa Ann McGeary, 66, of West Valley City, Utah, passed away on November 18, 2025, following a traffic accident on Redwood Road in West Jordan. In an unimaginable twist of fate, she had just left the viewing for her own mother only moments earlier.

Born January 31, 1959, in Glendale, California, to Bryant and Janice Mackay, Lisa Ann spent her life making everyone around her feel truly loved.

Lisa Ann was the heart and soul of her family. She lived for Sunday dinners, holiday mornings, gardening in her yard, her annual get-togethers with the “Girlfriends from the Neighborhood,” cheering louder than anyone at her grandchildren’s lacrosse and basketball games, and—most of all—spoiling her grandchildren and grand-puppies with endless love. Her hugs, her laugh, and her unwavering presence made every ordinary day feel special and every hard day bearable.

She is survived by her sons, David (Sherry) McGeary and Chris McGeary; three treasured grandchildren (two grandsons and one granddaughter); her beloved grand-puppies; her siblings, Diana (Ray) McCormack, Ben (Rachel) Mackay, and Rebecca Saunders; and ten dearly loved nieces and nephews. She is also remembered by a wide circle of friends who became family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bryant and Janice Mackay; her brother, Clark Mackay; and two nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Scelto 849 East 9400 South Sandy, Utah 84094

In lieu of flowers, please hug your people a little tighter and drive safely—especially on Redwood Road.

Lisa Ann, we promise your grandchildren will grow up knowing exactly how fiercely their Grandma loved them. Save us a seat at the table, Mom. We’ll be there someday.
