Lisa Latham Snyder

April 18, 2024, Lisa Latham Snyder, 54, baked her last batch of cookies with the love of her life.

Lisa was born December 21, 1969, to Leland and Judith Latham of Salt Lake City, Utah. Lisa had an amazing, special spirit that will be greatly missed by her family, friends and pets.

 Lisa, who was known for her incredible cooking and baking skills, was also well known as “Dog Mom” and “Neighborhood Mom”. If there was ever a dog that needed a home or a person who's belly needed to be fed, you just went to Lisa. She would always be standing there in her high heels, opened arms and a smile on her face to welcome any of her children, furry or human. When asked if more humans or dogs could come for dinner, Lisa would always respond with “Bring it on, the more the merrier!”

 She married John Grimsdell in 1988, who she had 3 children with; that were the light of her life. Later married Rick Snyder, October 22, 2005, who was the absolute love of her life. Rick and Lisa were a couple that everyone loved to be around. They were fun, loving and always a great time. From weekly dinners to Sunday Nascar Parties, there was Rick and Lisa, bringing the party to the parties.

Lisa worked at Summit Materials throughout many transitions of the company, during her years of dedicated employment, where she was able to travel across the US and experience many opportunities/challenges in her career. Lisa made many life-long friends during her career, who held a special place in her heart. One of which was her life-long friend Christie Tokarek, who Lisa created many wonderful memories with.  

Lisa is survived by husband (Rick Snyder), children: Josh Grimsdell, Zachary (Alyxandra) Grimsdell and daughter, stepchildren: Sherry Snyder and Lucas Snyder, daughter-in-law Taylor Snyder, grandchildren: Jessin Grimsdell, Samantha Grimsdell, Zayleah Snyder and Jack Snyder, sisters and brother in laws: Jen (Gary) Fischer, Juliet De Chazal, Margot (PJ) Pauni, Marilene (Brad) Bennett. Brother and sisters-in-law: Raymond (LeiAn) Snyder, Randy (Vicki) Snyder and Rodney Snyder. Stepdad George Latham. Life-long friends Caroll Ulibarri-Mackay, Dom Gorringe and Susan (Tiny) Hansen. As well as many nieces, nephews, family members and friends.  

Lisa is preceded in death by Mother (Judith Latham), Father (Leland Latham), Mother-in-law (Nadine Snyder), stepson Kirt Snyder and many beloved pets.

There will be a private family viewing held Thursday, April 25th, 2024. A celebration of life will be held Friday, April 26, 2024 @ 11:00am to 3:00pm at The Villas At Hidden Creek ClubHouse. 9432 South Hidden Point Drive Sandy, Utah 84070.
