Lloyd A. Bjornn "Together Again"

Lloyd A. Bjornn, a great and gallant man, passed away April 3, 2007 in Mesquite, Nevada. He was born December 22, 1917 to Mammie Florentine Torgerson Bjornn and Theodore Conrad Bjornn. He met the love of his life, H. Elaine Hokanson in Clearfield, UT after the war. They married on April 20, 1946 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Lloyd was a veteran of World War II, serving in the European Theater, with rank of Sergeant in U.S. Army Tank Battalion reconnaissance earning several medals, including two Bronze Stars. He was an expert marksman. Lloyd spent his working years in the grocery business, where he managed several new businesses for Dan's Foods for over 30 years and Wood & Sons for 10 years. He loved to garden and dance. He danced from London to Hollywood in major dance halls. He loved to raise pigeons and chickens. He and mom were like Mr. and Mrs. Santa. Dad would cut toys out and mom painted them. He is survived by his children: Sandra (Mrs. Gary Weight), Barbara (Mrs. David Yancey), Peggy Bjornn, and son Wayne Bjornn, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife Elaine Bjornn. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at Elysian Burial Gardens, 1075 East 4580 South. Friends and family may visit on Tuesday from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. at Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East.
