Our beloved mother, Lois Ione Cline, peacefully passed away at 83 years of age on Saturday, February 14, 2015 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born on September 12, 1931 in Parowan, Utah. Lois was the youngest child of Arnold and Nita Lowe.
She is survived by nine children: Russell (Melou), Janice Sommer (Richard), Robyn Behle, Christopher (Cathy), Richard (Kim), Connie Sivillo (Pete), Paul (Shirley), Julie Tait (Tyler) and Rebecca Howard (Stephen), 33 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and her big brother, Allen Lowe. She is at last joyfully reunited with the love of her life, Victor Bailey Cline, to whom she was married for over sixty years.
With their beginnings in Berkeley, California, Lois lived for most of her married life with Vic in their East Millcreek home, which to them was a bit of paradise. Lois had a spunky personality, loved to laugh, and expressed her love through her healthy cooking. The endearing tradition of "Sunday Soup Night" brought her family together and nourished both body and spirit. She was a fiercely devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Lois and Victor served an LDS mission in Manchester, England where she touched the lives of many by sharing her love and testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. For over thirty years, Lois loved serving with her husband working to promote better marriages and families through the Marriage Enrichment Seminar, a cause to which she was deeply committed. But the greatest inspiration to her posterity is the knowledge that the driving purpose and greatest joy in her life, without question, was her family. Her passing on February 14 was a beautiful Valentine's gift to her husband, who was waiting for her on the other side.
A service will be held Saturday, February 21 at 10:30 a.m. at the LDS chapel located at 2125 East Evergreen Ave (3435 S.), SLC.
