Lois Ivie Newton passed away peacefully at home November 19, 2012. Lois was born February 11, 1925 to Dewey and Tirza Bastian Ivie in Salina, Utah. Lois married Riley in Yuma, Arizona in the middle of WWII. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple.

Lois was an active member of the LDS faith, fulfilling many callings over her lifetime. A devoted mother, Lois was always there for her family. She was beloved by all whose lives she touched.

Lois is survived by husband Riley, children Stephen (Julie) Newton, Anne (Garth) Barlow, Carol (Allen) Pero, Lori (Paul) Callaway, Mark (Kim) Newton, brother Neal Ivie and sisters Hazel (Draper) and Maxine (Clark), 19 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by parents, brothers Cleve, William Dewey (Bill) and Paul Ivie, Sister Lila (Torgenson) and grandson Mitchell Pedler.

There will be a viewing Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Holbrook Mortuary 3251 South 2300 East. A viewing will also be held at 10:00 a.m., prior to funeral services at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 26, at the LDS Church, 2980 South 2790 East. Interment will be at Elysian Garden Cemetery.
