Our brother, nephew, uncle, cousin, and friend, Lonnie Ray Howa, age 53, passed away peacefully at home on July 28, 2022 in Magna, UT.
He was born October 3, 1968 in Salt Lake City, UT to Raymond Howa and La Rayne Rhodes Howa Esplin. He grew up in West Valley City, UT and also resided in Arizona for a short period of time. Upon returning to Utah, he worked for Star Foundry & Machine for 24 years.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, watching old westerns and Bruce Lee movies. He was an amazing artist, exceptional chess player and loved learning new things.
He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond Howa and La Rayne Esplin; nephew Declan King Howa; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is survived by his loving family: stepmother, Dorothy Allen Howa; brother, Kevin Howa; Sisters, Lorie Paulsen and Krystyn (CJ) Mace; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces including; Kaleo, Rocco, Hayleigh, Ashtyn, Bryan, Brandyn, Brytnye, Matthew, Zahyn and Kaydn.
Lonnie was a very caring and thoughtful person with a heart of gold and would do anything for anybody. He was loved and admired. He will be deeply missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held on August 4, 2022 at Holbrook Mortuary 3251 South 2300 East from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 in Ferron City Cemetery located at 200 N 300 W, Ferron, UT 84523.
