She loved fiercely and would do anything for her family.

Our mother, grandmother, and friend, Lori Ann Butters, age 67, died on August 5, 2026 in West Jordan, Utah. She was born on January 20, 1959 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Dennis Frazier and Kathleen Myler.

She was always the life of the party and definitely the loudest one in the room. She may have come off as blunt and a bit intimidating, but she loved fiercely and would do anything for her family. She made friends wherever she went and luckily heldonto a special group of friends that meant so much to her.

She survived a car accident in 1989 after breaking her backparalyzing her from the waist down. She was told she would never walk again but with determination, hard work and stubbornness, she did. She underwent seven back surgeries over the course of two decades, and even though she was in a lot of pain, she tried to never complain.

Her grandkids were her world. She was known as Nani. She loved listening to her music and singing along. She loved crime shows and was a huge movie buff.

She is survived by her sons Doby Batt and Kyle Monks (Katherin) and daughter Mecale Monks; her grandkids Kaylee, Amelia, Jaxon, Charlie and Ella; her brothers Crag (Patty) and Matt (Loredonna) and lots of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Kathleen Myler, father Dennis Frazier, and her brothers James “Brad” Frazier and Steve Frazier.

A private funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at 10 AM at the Memorial Redwood Mortuary. Interment will take place on August 24, 2026 at 10:00 am.
