Lori Kay Newbold, our sweet Loli, passed away at the age of 55 on March 19th, 2023. Lori was born in Great Falls, Montana on April 22nd, 1967 to Richard and DeLynn North. Growing up Lori was an amazing sister to her 5 siblings and helped to take care of her younger ones. When she had free time she did gymnastics, drill team, and enjoyed hanging out with her friends. She was very accident prone always running into things and getting hurt. She loved spending time at her grandma Killian’s house. She and her siblings would swim in the ditch in front of the house and they always had vanilla ice cream with fresh raspberries and nuts. She also loved her grandma’s caramel popcorn and they would play cards while they ate it.
She married Kory Welber Newbold on May 21st, 1988. Together they had three really awesome daughters Whitney (Krizten) Newbold, Brandy (Tyson) Black, and Tiffany (Cristian) Rojas. She was a very devoted wife, and mother to her children. She always had a job and worked hard while still being the best mom there was. When she became a grandma, she showed her grandkids that same love, if not more.
Her favorite place to be was Mesquite with her best friend, her sister Misty. They started taking their kids and their friends when they were young. A tradition that has stayed strong for 15 plus years. Every trip was full of laughter and fun. If she wasn’t able to be in Mesquite she could be found in her back yard by her pool. She was by definition the life of the party.
Lori’s family was her everything. She has always supported her kids and loved them unconditionally. She accepted each of their spouses as one of her own and she was a second mom to many. She was a fighter and we are so proud of how strong she was. If she could say something to the people, she loves she would tell them to eat the cake, buy the outfit, take the vacation, and don’t stress over anything you can’t control because YOLO! She was loved by so many and this world will never be the same without our Loli. We love you mom.
To honor Lori’s wishes, her immediate family will be celebrating her life privately.
