Lorraine Blanche Griffiths

November 16, 1921 — June 19, 2014

Our sweet, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother peacefully left this Earth surrounded by her loving family on June 19, 2014.

She was born on Nov. 16, 1921 to Harvey and Blanche Fairbourn of Hunter, Utah. She married Alfred Warren Griffiths in the Salt Lake Temple in 1939. She worked at Tooele Army Depot, Beehive Clothing, and the University of Utah. Her biggest joys in life were visiting with family, dancing, singing, music, and traveling. She was a loving, giving, sweet, gentle woman.

She is survived by her sons, Hal and Kim Griffiths; daughters, Kay Baty, Jill Gass, and Liz Thompson; She was preceded in death by her son, Gary Griffiths. Also survived by a total of 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren. She will be missed by all.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 11:00am at the Pleasant Green Cemetery, 9200 West 3500 South, Magna. Friends and family can visit Friday evening June 27, 6:00-8:00pm at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, Salt Lake City.
