Louis Otto Hamann, Jr

Ott passed away Nov. 15, 2010 in Salt Lake City. He was born Nov. 23, 1928 to Louis Otto Hamann, Sr. And Mercy Ann Hamann.

He was a Veteran of the Korean War and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He also received medals for his expert marksmanship and for service to his country. He loved being in the outdoors and going for drives through the canyons. Ott took great pride in his beautiful yard and gardens.

Ott retired to Vernal, Utah with his loving wife of 50 years Edna Ruth Kendrick-Hamann where they attended St. Paul's Episcopal Church. He was a member of The Salt Lake Elks Lodge and retired from Holy Cross Hospital. Ott was a very loving caring person. He was always there for his family and was especially close to his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Nancy Duncan-Hamann, daughters Ottalee "Lee" Schiffel (Frank) and Jenny A. Hamann-Blatnick, son Clay L. Hamann (Beth) and stepchildren Miles Lundstrom (Pearl), Linda Jensen (Del) and Sally Sundberg (Mark), 15 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by both parents, wife Ruth, son Rex and sisters Lucille, Rhea, Virginia "Ginny", Donna and Sharon.

Ott will live in our memories and be missed by all who knew him.
