Louise Ruth (Warren) Riding

Louise Ruth Riding returned to her loving Heavenly Father on January 2, 2015. She was born November 21, 1937 to William Owen Warren and Ruth Stacy Cloward in Salem, Utah. She married her high school sweetheart, Jerry Russell Riding, on November 15, 1956 in the Salt Lake Temple.  During their 58 years of marriage their lives were blessed with four wonderful sons, their wives, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Louise was an extremely accomplished musician, and blessed many lives with her beautiful voice and extraordinary musical talents.  She was especially kind, cared about people individually and spent her life in the service of others.  Louise served in the church in many capacities, including Relief Society president, Young Women president, organist and music director.

She grew up on a farm and loved her hometown of Salem. She had a special gift for growing things. Roses were her favorite and she had many different varieties of them around her home.

Family and friends were most important in her life. She is survived by her husband, Jerry; children, Dennis (Ann), Rich (Holly), James (Christine), and Ronald.  She especially loved her babies, including her 16 loving grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at 11:00am at the Garden Heights North Ward, 2220 East Fisher Lane (2935 South), Salt Lake City. Friends and family can visit Tuesday evening 6:00-8:00pm at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, and at the church Wednesday morning 9:30-10:30am prior to the service.
