Lynn, our loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Lynn was married to Jean for 57 years. They had two amazing children, Janet (Jared), Eric (Brooke), and three amazing grandchildren, Tehya (Adam), Loftin (Rachel), and Caden. He was so proud of them all, their accomplishments, and their compassion and caring for others.

Lynn served in the United States Army, stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska, from 1965-1967 with the 554 Engineers, and served with the National Guard from 1967 to 1969. He was proud of the opportunity and was honored to serve his country.

Lynn worked for Salt Lake County Flood Control for 38 years as a heavy equipment operator. He loved his job. His most memorable time was the flood of 1984. He went wherever in the valley he was sent to clear out the creeks, build up the creek walls, and placed sandbags to help prevent more flooding.

Lynn always had a smile on his face, he loved making people laugh, and he always had a joke or a story to tell. He loved to take his kids swimming, camping, and he taught them how to fish. He always got out-fished by his kids, so it seems he taught them well! He enjoyed going to local baseball games, bowling, and hitting a bucket of balls at Mulligan’s. He did enjoy a good 49ers game with Joe Montana being “his man,” and loved going to the LA Dodgers games.

When the grandkids were younger, he loved playing “restaurant” with them, going to watch them practice karate, and was so proud when Tehya earned her black belt at 12 years old and became an instructor. He truly enjoyed going to Loftin’s baseball games, cheering him on, and he never missed a game!

We had several pets who he is probably playing fetch with him. Buffy, Timmy, Tony, Norman, Bentley, Keegers, Sammy, and Gina. Jersey and Jack are sure missing him and waiting for him to sneak them Oreo cookies!

Christmas movie night will never be the same! His jokes, stories, smart-ass remarks, and the nicknames he had for everyone. Not a day will go by where he is not in our hearts.

He will be deeply missed and never forgotten! Fly high, fish hard, be happy, happy, happy, and don't let your meat loaf!
