M. Virginia Sims

M. Virginia Sims passed away on September 12, 2011. She was born on October 29, 1918, the daughter of Mary Alice Lambert and Lester August Peterson. Married Gordon R. Sims on September 8, 1947 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Most important to her was being a wife and mother. She served in various capacities in the LDS church.

Virginia is survived by her husband, daughter, Ruth (Jim) Whitehead; son Scott (Lynette) Sims, sister Florence Hansen, brother Grant Peterson; Grandchildren: Kristi, Keli, Kaci and Kraig, Alycia(Chad)Sundloff; Great-granchildren: 7. Preceded in death by brother Jim Peterson, sister, Ruth Richardson, daughter Mary Neil and grandson Keri Sims.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 16, 2011 at 12:00 noon at the Olympus 3rd Ward, 4100 South Camille Drive (2480 East).
