Manuelita J Valdez

Manuelita Jaramillo Valdez passed away on May 14, 2023 at the age of 96 in Taylorsville, Utah. She was born on July 28, 1926 in Petaca, New Mexico to Manuel Sabino Jaramillo and Maria Sarita Gallegos. She married Julio Valdez.
She moved from New Mexico to Utah in 1950 with her husband to take care of her mother. She made beautiful quilts in case someone stopped by and had to spend the night. This is known as Spanish courtesy.
She is survived by son Floyd Valdez, grandchildren: Nicholas, Marla, Tony, and Ricky. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers: David, Gavino, Delfino, Gilberto, Juan and Eloy. Sister: Cornelia Jaramillo Jaquez, and children: Nancy, Steve, and Gary.
Funeral Services will be held at St. Francis Xavier Church located at 4501 West 5215 South Kearns, Utah 84118 on Thursday May 18, 2023 beginning at 1 PM. A viewing/Rosary will be held on Wednesday May 17, 2023 from 6 to 8 PM at Redwood Mortuary located at 6500 South Redwood Road in West Jordan Utah.  Interment will follow after the services on Thursday at Memorial Redwood Cemetery.
