Born November 11, 1928 in Salt Lake City to Sidney & Annie Gee. Passed away March 29, 2010. Margaret grew up in the Millcreek area and attended Sherman Elementary, Olympus Jr. High and graduated from Granite High in 1947. Margaret married Duane L. Christensen Sept 8, 1948 in the Salt Lake Temple. She was the mother of 5 children, Linda, Kent, Craig, Scott and Jill.
Margaret loved to read, knit and travel. She loved her trips to Mexico, Russia, Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. Since retiring she has loved her home in St. George. The last few years she has lost her vision and suffered with a broken hip.
Margaret went back to school when all of her children were in school and graduated from BYU. She taught Special Education at Hartvigson School for several years, retiring in 1990.
She is survived by her husband; son, Craig; daughter, Jill; brothers, Vic (Gaye) and Ron (Diana); sister and brother-in-law, Kay and Don Dudley; and sister-in-law, Lorene Moore; grandchildren, Jennifer (Andy) Reesor, Robert Church, Robert Hardman, Anna Hardman and Michael Hardman; and 4 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents; and children, Kent, Scott and Linda.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 2, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Grandview 3rd Ward building, 2930 South 2000 East, Salt Lake City, where friends and family can visit from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the service. Interment at the Vine Bluff Cemetery, Nephi, UT at 2:00 p.m. following the service. Online messages and tributes for Margaret's family can be sent at: www.holbrookmortuary.com
