Margaret Ruiter Hobbs

Our loving mother,  Margaret Ruiter Hobbs, age 81, passed away May 8, 2017 at home surrounded by family of causes due to cancer.

Margaret was born in Groningen, Netherlands the daughter of Marten Ruiter and Sjoukje Wykstra. She moved to America in 1950 with her parents. She graduated from West High School and Stevens-Henager College. She worked for Halmars for 15 years and then became a house wife and mother. Margaret loved children and volunteered for over 32 years at Hawthorne Elementary School. Many of the older people around the neighborhood knew if they needed help, they could ask Margaret. We love her and we'll miss her.

Survived by her son William Marten (Marty) Hobbs.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Friday May 12, 2017 at the Waterloo Ward, 1623 South 500 East, where friends may visit with the family from 10:00am to 10:45am prior to the services.
