Margit Rambo Hansen was an amazing, wonderful, sweet, kind, caring, accomplished woman. She was a survivor of WWII as a child; grew up on the farms in Germany. She graduated from a German apprenticeship as a seamstress. Margit later graduated from the University of Utah in 1979 with an Economics degree, Dean’s list, Honors List, Phi Kappa Phi, Phi Beta Phi, Omirron Delta Epsilon. She went on to establish her business, Fashion Affair, where she sold fine silk, wools, and linens. She was known intermountain and internationally for her fine seamstress work.
Margit raised two children in her twenties and thirties; Grace Rambo and Ken Liston and later met the love her life and married D. Michael Hansen and then had her third child, David M. Hansen.
Margit loved to travel around the world experiencing different cultures. She enjoyed creating beautiful clothing. She brought joy to others as she was so very thoughtful and generous. She would give to many charities and would always send you home with a bag full of goodies/treats and slip a $20.00 in your packet.
She is loved and appreciated and will be so very missed. Her passing will be felt deeply. I love you, Mom.
