Marilee Rudd Mckenna

Born Oct 26, 1946 and passed away Nov 2, 2010 at home surrounded by loved ones, from cancer. She was the oldest of seven children born to Calvin Paul and LaVon Woods Rudd. She loved being the oldest take charge one. She graduated from Olympus High School and the Robert Steur College of Beauty. She thought she was the quiet, shy one but apparently that wasn't so. She loved life and having adventures and loved people.

Marilee married Thomas L. McKenna on Oct 9, 1996. She was the lucky one to be chosen to be the mother to Beckie Lee Raemer (Steve), David C. Darby, Scott M. Darby, Jamison R.Darby (Jamie), and Randall T. Darby. Grandchildren are Kade Byrd, Andrew and Gage Tims, Chase and Cohen Darby, William, Chloe and Callie Porter. Stepchildren, Brandy Ann Porter (Billy), Kate Ashley Lamb (Vance) and their families. Survived by her siblings, Robert S. Rudd (Pam), Carolyn Creer, Rolayn Henderson (Al), Cyndi Gardner (Don), and Patricia Hodson (John). Preceded in death by brother, Paul Woods Rudd, brother-in-law, Jim Creer, and son-in-law Ron Davis.

She is forever grateful to the incredible people in her life: friends, neighbors, and co-workers who have sustained and strengthened her. Love has been with her.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 8, 2010 at 12 Noon, at the Farm Hill Ward, 5235 South Wesley Road (1107 East), where she taught Sunday School and Relief Society. Friends can visit with the family Sunday evening 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, and at the church Monday morning 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. prior to the funeral.
