Marion Anderson Best

Marion Anderson Best passed away peacefully at the age of 87 with her family by her side on May 28, 2013. She was born June 9, 1925 in Ogden, Utah to Eugenia Ostlund and John Axel Anderson. She married Warren Best on February 2, 1951 in the Logan Temple. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served an LDS mission in the Eastern States Mission.

She had a love of music and she organized the Chanson Singers, who sang at public events for several years. She also conducted numerous choirs and sang duets with her husband and others.

She was a highly successful and organized businesswoman. She spent most of her working career as the Office Administrator for Corbett and Company.

Marion is survived by her children, Kathryn Peters, Roger (Nancy) Best, Glade (Colleen) Best; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and sisters, Myrth Winger and Myrle Anderson. Preceded in death by her husband, parents, and sister, Mildred Marion.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at 1:00pm at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, where friends and family can visit 11:30am-12:30pm prior to the service.
