Marjorie Diane Dunford

d. March 29, 2008

Aunt Diane was born, the younger of two daughters, to William Chauncey and Merlyn Helen Chamberlin Dunford in Salt Lake City, Utah. She took her final leap of faith in the late afternoon of Saturday, March 29th, with her niece Tracy by her side. Diane had a love and testimony of her Savior, Jesus Christ; and was a dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She loved her family and friends. She had wonderful "seasons" working at a lodge on the rim of the Grand Canyon, at Sun Valley Resort, and as a telephone operator in Honolulu, Hawaii. She also worked for the "phone company" in Salt Lake City before accepting a position as the Tour Guide Supervisor at the Visitor's Center on Temple Square. Later she worked as an administrative assistant in the Information Systems Department of the LDS Church. After her retirement, Diane served two LDS missions: the first to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and the second to Independence, Missouri. Diane made friends wherever she went. She was still an active part of her Employees of Grand Canyon Group, the Telephone Company Gals, the S.F.O.E.M. Club, her Lambda Delta Sigma Sisters, and her beloved Choir Carpool. Diane's one sorrow was that she didn't marry and have the children she had dreamed of a
