Passed away after a courageous year of battling cancer. Born to Barney H. and Vera Lee Beckett Hilton. Youngest of 7 children. Graduated from East High School. Employed at Questar Gas Company for 30 years. Married Suzanne Morris, had 3 children; Preston, Malarie, and Antigone, later divorced. Sealed to Marinda Hilton on March 18, 1989, in the Salt Lake Temple, for time and all eternity, "She is the love of my life and helped me to be a better man". Marinda brought 2 children, Ben and Mindy, to our family to complete our tribe. Survived by wife; Marinda, parents; Barney H. Hilton, LeRoy and Ruth Ann Schulz, Patrick Newby, children; Preston, and Antigone Hilton, Ben, and Mindy Stout, brother; R, Donn (Katy) Hilton and 4 sisters; Michal (Allen) Miller, Stephanie (Steve) Glende, Sally (Jim) Everett, and Sydney (Doug) Whipple. Preceded in death by Mother Vera Lee Hilton, daughter Malarie Hilton, and sister Patricia Hilton, as well as many nephews. Mark was an active member of the LDS church and enjoyed several church callings. He always cared about others no matter what his own personal circumstances were. Mark had a wonderful sense of humor and could keep everyone laughing. He was an avid motorcycle, sports (and loved his extensive hat collection), and fishing enthusiast-Mark enjoyed life to the fullest. We are very thankful to all those who rendered love and compassionate service to us during this time. All family, ward family members and friends from Questar Gas. You all know who you are! Our thanks to the staff at Utah Cancer Specialists, Love Home Healthcare, and Utah Hospice Specialists.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 25, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Winder 2nd Ward, 1361 East 4000 South. Friends may visit with the family Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00pm at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, and at the church Friday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the service.
