After a swift and valiant battle with liver cancer, Mark jumped on his Harley to find the road less traveled.
Mark loved spending time with family at gatherings on holidays and special occasions. He treasured spending each Monday with his mother, Donna, for a little lunch and catching up on the prior week's activities. Mark loved his Sunday morning breakfasts whether it was orange rolls at home with his wife, Leslie, or meeting up at a special spot with friends for brunch!
Mark and Leslie spent many hours traveling with their friends on their Harleys to places like Sturgis for the bike rally, or St. George for a weekend getaway from the cold weather of Salt Lake winters. Mark and Leslie celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary in Kauai, HI with Cori and Frank, his sister-in-law and her husband.
Mark was a long-haul truck driver for close to 40 years. In that time he logged close to 3 million miles and most recently logged over a million at his current employer, Garrison Transportation. He loved anything with wheels-Big trucks, motorcycles, cars, pickups and motorhomes. He cared for his vehicles as "family"! They were always in pristine condition and polished to a "spit shine!" Mark loved driving through the Central Coast of California through the beautiful wine country making friends of his customers and other drivers along the way.
Those who are waiting to greet him are his father, Roy Noland, Auntie Lo (Barnett), nephew John (JJ) Northrop Jr., father-in-law, Clair Redding, grandson, Tytan Scott and many others who will greet him with open arms and a huge "Welcome Home!"
Mark was a true gentleman in every aspect of the word and he will truly be missed by the many family and friends he left behind.
May he live forever in our hearts! Soar with the eagles my love, until we meet again!
