Marsha Ames

Marsha S. Ames passed away on July 4, 2025, at the age of 83. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Nelson S. Ames, daughter; Shelley (Kevin) VanTassell , son Patrick (Dawn) Ames, siblings, Sharon (Ray-deceased) Meik, Forrest (Mona) Sims, and Robyn (Buck Hanson-deceased) Thomas, 3 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents and grandparents. 

She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Theron and Afton Taylor Sims. She graduated from Olympus High School in 1959, and retired from All West Communications in Kamas in 1999. She enjoyed spending winters in Yuma, AZ, and camping with family. She was an expert at puzzles, loved playing cards, playing golf, and making her beautiful Swedish Weave quilts.  Most of all, she loved being with her family and we loved being with her. 

To honor her request, a small private service will be held for immediate family only. She will be laid to rest at Memorial Mountain View Cemetery.
