Marsha Marie Davis Conley

October 13, 1940 — February 6, 2026

Marsha Marie Davis Conley, 85, while surrounded by family, slipped quietly into the eternities to join her eternal companion who preceded her by a mere 30 days. As dad was always opening physical doors for mom, today his spirit took her by the hand, and with her by his side they together walked through the final door to their heavenly home on high, to be with our Heavenly Father, and His Son Jesus Christ. Just a day before mom passed she said, “dad is coming soon to get me”.

Marsha came into this earthly existence on October 13th, 1940, and was welcomed into the home of loving parents, Warren Edgar Davis, IV, and Beatrice Marie Black Davis. Marsha was the second daughter in a home with five girls, and one boy. She grew up primarily in the Salt Lake valley, and later while living in Utah County, Marsha attended and graduated from American Fork High School. Marsha was very much loved, not only for her beautiful spirit, but also for her glowing countenance and sweet, pure demeanor.

Bob and Marsha met through a common friend and relative, and it was love at first sight. On October 30th, 1958, Marsha and Bob were sealed to each other in the Salt Lake LDS temple, for time and for all eternity. Devoted to each other completely, they together built a beautiful life filled with love and happiness. Marsha and Bob had a perfect marriage, and loved spending time together, and with family and friends. Marsha and Bob raised seven children, and the family eventually grew to include 20 grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Marsha cherished being a homemaker, and always kept an immaculate home, and additionally enjoyed baking, listening to music by the Lettermen, the Carpenters, and other fun songs of that era. Their home was a place of learning, laughter, and love, and Marsha was never too busy to talk with her kids, and especially loved discussing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She was one of the purest and most Christ-like daughters of God ever to have lived on earth. She loved life, and her family was everything to her.

Marsha loved working on family history, reading, and watching movies, and thoroughly enjoyed the family outings to drive-in theatres on a warm summer night. She loved the classics such as ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’, ‘With Six You Get Eggroll’, ‘The Sound of Music’, and so many others. The holidays were especially wonderful as the family gathered at their home year after year, to celebrate, visit, and enjoy delicious treats that Marsha made. Her culinary skills were unmatched. Marsha was also very thoughtful and kind, and many friends and neighbors were also the recipients of her generous and scrumptious treats. Marsha was very humble and meek, and always maintained the highest standards and priorities. Her children enjoyed gathering around her and dad in their room at the end of the day, basking in the glow of soft lamps, and the gentle breeze of the warm summer evening air softly gliding thru their bedroom window. Mom’s skin smelled of Oil of Olay, and her children would lie on their bed and either watch TV, talk, or listen to mom read a story. Home was a heaven on earth.

Marsha and Bob lived in a few different places in the Salt Lake Valley, as well as one year in Orem, and found their final home in West Jordan, near the foothills of the Oquirrh mountains, where they would spend over 25 years, and made several kind and good friends. The last few years of her life, Marsha, along with her companion and hubby, found it necessary to move into an assisted living facility, and eventually the Memory Care unit. But even in these often-challenging circumstances, Marsha always beamed when family and friends arrived for a visit, and she could not wait until the next encounter. Marsha was a devout and committed follower of our Savior, and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Throughout her life she served in many callings in Relief Society, and other capacities, and later in life served a mission with her husband, Bob, to the Manchester, New Hampshire mission, which they both enjoyed immensely.

Marsha is survived by her children: Todd (Lisa), Shawn (Jerri), Elizabeth Gordon (Peter), Tyler, Erin Gilbert (Paul), and Angela Smith; 20 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; two sisters Susan Brewer and Paulette Eddy, a son-in-law Robert Griffin, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert, a daughter Kathleen Griffin, her parents, her sister Sherry Lynn; her sister Judy, her brother Joe, a great grandson Summit Gene Conley, as well as two brothers-in-law: David Brewer and Steve Eddy.

A viewing for family and friends will be held on Monday, February 16th, at 11:00 am, followed by the celebration of life program at 12:00 pm at the LDS chapel at 5208 Cyclamen Way, West Jordan, Utah. Following the service the interment will take place at Memorial Mountain View Cemetery in Cottonwood Heights, Utah. The family would also like to thank the staff at The Abbington in Murray, Utah, and Canyon Hospice, who compassionately and gracefully provided professional care for mom while there.
