Marta C Martin

Marta C "Mamatita" Martin, passed away on October 21, 2023. Born on May 7, 1939 in Guatamala, Marta was proud of her Guatamalan heritage and upbringing. Her family describes her as tough and headstrong but a nurturer all the same.

Marta was a Prison Director for the Guatamalan Prison System for many years. She loved serving her community and took pride in her work. She also had love for her family and was a kind and nuturing matriarch.

She loved flowers and birds and her little dog, Gucci. Her grandson, Mike, said that she tended to her garden in any and all weather. He remembers a time when it had snowed and he saw Mamatita outside whacking the snow off of the tree in her coat and pajamas to ensure her garden stayed beautiful.

She is survived by her six children; Rudy Godoy, Migelito Godoy, Victor Godoy, Analuisa Silva, Byron Godoy and Delia Orduno and many grandchildren and grandchildren. She now joins her husband, Marcy T. Martin.

She will be missed greatly as she was a mother figure to all of her family.
