Mary Ann Taylor Clark

September 5, 1948 — March 4, 2023

Mary Ann Taylor Clark 74 passed away on March 4, 2023, in Layton, Utah, surrounded by her loved ones, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was born September 5, 1948, to Perry French Taylor and Elladine Lowe Taylor of Walton, West Virginia, and was the oldest of 7 children. In high school Mary Ann loved playing the trumpet and reading.  Her love of learning led her to graduate Salutatorian of Walton High School class of 1966. After graduation Mary Ann lived in Morgantown, WV and Pittsburg, PA, before finally making her home in Utah in 1970.
Mary Ann was married to Richard Grant Clark of Farmington, UT and together they had four daughters.  She absolutely loved living in Utah, surrounded by the mountains.  Picnics in the summer and drives through the canyons were some of her favorite activities.  Mary Ann looked forward to vacations with the family, cooking for her family, and spending time with her dogs Cinder and Oscar.  We will miss her beautiful blue eyes, adorable dimples, and warm conversation.
Mary Ann is preceded in death by her parents and her sister Connie Hayes.  She is survived by her siblings Barbara Waggoner (David), Ronnie Taylor, Danny Taylor, Roger Taylor, and Wanda Shamblin, her daughters Chandra Starks (Chad) of Sandy, UT; Jennifer Cailleau (Thierry) of Heesch, Netherlands; Melissa Swasey (Drew) of Las Vegas, NV; and Jill Peterson (Brock) of Kaysville, UT, along with 15 grandchildren.
