Mary Livingston Bernier

August 2, 1918 — April 7, 2013

Mary Livingston Bernier passed away Sunday, April 7, 2013 in South Jordan, Utah. She was born August 2, 1918, in Burley, Idaho the daughter of Lyle Stewart and Peter Evans.

Mary owned and operated Orville's Beauty Salon in South Salt Lake until she retired and sold the business. Active in South Salt Lake Lions Club for over 50 years, where she served as the secretary for many years and received a National Award for her outstanding service. Loved to play the piano and could play any tune by ear. Lived life to her fullest as she loved to travel, play golf and entertain. She was always young at heart.

Most important, she loved her family and we all knew it. She will be greatly missed.

Survived by her children: Gary (Monica) Livingston, Ray (Francis) Livingston, Craig (Karen) Livingston, Linda (David) Whipple, Ron Bernier and Pamela (David) Lewis; 25 grandchildren and 68 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband Orville E. Livingston and husband Kenneth C. Bernier.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 12:00 Noon at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery, 1950 East 10600 South. A viewing will be held on Saturday from 10:30 am to 11:15 am at Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, prior to the graveside.
