Mary Stander Daybell died at home with her children by her side on June 5, 2009. She was born in Brigham City, Utah on December 15, 1917, to Ethel and Julius Stander. She graduated from Box Elder High School in 1935 and, on October 4, 1940, married Paul Hansen Daybell who predeceased her in August, 1998. She was an avid bridge player, a loving friend, mother and grandmother. She loved being with her friends, playing bridge, traveling and was always ready for an adventure. Mary loved life and lived it fully until the very end.

She is survived by her son Richard Daybell and his wife, Linda, of Lincoln, Vermont; her daughter Kristin Wheeler and her husband Jerry of Salt Lake City; her grandsons Morgan Daybell and his wife, Beth Crane of Montgomery, Vermont, Jason Jones, Kevin Jones and his wife Shelly, all of Salt Lake City; and 7 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Harold Stander and his family and her brother-in-law and sister-in-law Dave and Ora Burton and their family. She leaves many friends, and a very special friend, Beulah (Boots) Nichols who was so important to her comfort and care during the last months of her life.

At Mary's request there will be no funeral service. A private family service to inter her ashes will be held at a future date. The family wishes to thank Caregivers Support Network, especially Debbie, Diedre, Cheryl, and Sylvia for their loving support and care which enabled Mary to maintain the quality of life that was so important to her. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Caregivers Support Network in her memory would be gratefully accepted. Condolences to the family may be sent at: www.holbrookmortuary.com
