Mary Lou Maestas Biffath

May 6, 1945 — May 29, 2025

In loving memory of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Mary Lou Maestas Biffath, who peacefully returned to her Heavenly Father on May 29, 2025, at the age of 80. She is now cradled in eternal peace and love by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Mary Lou was born on May 6, 1945, in Fruita, Colorado, to Joe Maestas and Mary Otero. She married the love of her life, Larry “Buff” Biffath, and together they shared 41 beautiful years of love, devotion, and unwavering care for one another.

By the age of 20, Mary Lou had welcomed her three cherished children into the world. She lived in both Colorado and Utah, and even in her youth, was known for her sharp mind, having mastered her times tables forward and backward in elementary school. She attended West High School until the 10th grade.

Mar Lou fought valiantly for life and fiercely for her son and daughters throughout their lives. She will be loved and deeply missed by her family, friends, and loved ones. Until we see you again, we will live our lives passionately in your memory while always holding you closely within our hearts forever. We love you!

Mary Lou’s only older surviving sister, Virginia West, took care of her when she was little and loved her very much. They were best friends throughout their lives and had a lot of fun together.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Larry Biffath; her children TammyLou (Tano) Archuleta, Paula (Jay) Cook, and Marty (Brenda), sister Virginia West; her beloved grandchildren Joshua O’Bray, Andrew Archuleta, Tiara (Taylor) Rhodes, Austin (Jacey) O’Bray, Jordan O’Bray, and Parker O’Bray; and her precious great-grandchildren Ryder O’Bray and Riley O’Bray.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Mary Maestas; siblings Phil Maestas, Jim Maestas, Danny Maestas, Stella Marcusen, and Elizabeth Trujillo; brother-in-law Richard West and her grandson, Adam Jay Cook.
