Matthew Joseph David Broderick

October 7, 1998 — June 30, 2023

Matthew Joseph David Broderick at the age of 24 passed away on June 30, 2023.
Matthew was born on October 7, 1998 in Provo, Utah and later adopted into the Broderick family on November 9th, 2010 and sealed to the family on November 19, 2010 in the Oquirrh Mountain Temple. In his youth, he was on the swim team, played the viola, enjoyed scouting, and was captivated by computers and video games. One of Matt’s favorite games was Zelda! He met some of his best friends while gaming. He attended several scout camps, leadership camps and completed his Eagle in the Boy Scouts of America. Matt loved the theater and was in many plays while in High school. He even started to get involved with Live Action Role Play (LARPing) with swords and costumes in the parks. He also loved graphic design and ended up designing many of the school sports uniforms, as well as the ward t-shirts for scouting and youth conferences.
Matt graduated from High school May 19th, 2016 and served a service mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Salt Lake City from May 2017 to May 2018. His love for graphic design took him to Mountain Land Technology College where he was able to learn more and build his career.  He also worked for several companies doing online Tech Support, while doing Graphic Design on the side.
One of Matt’s greatest accomplishments was not with his career, but rather his kind personality. Matt was the person who would talk to everyone, especially if he sensed they needed a friend.  He would give you his time, and often left you with a laugh.  He was the kind of friend you always wanted to have. He was best friends with all of his siblings, gamed with his dad and joked with his mom.  When he joined the family, he helped everyone feel included and more united.
He leaves behind his parents, Mark and Kari Broderick, his siblings, Kelly , Jeffery and his wife Cheyenne, Drake, CJ, Zondra, Alexis, Shi, Ari and Travis. His nieces and nephews Angel, Owen, Bjorn, Octavia, and Ryker. His grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Matt was preceded in death by his biological mom Jackie, a nephew Asher and a cousin Joshua.
