Mele ‘Ofakihesia Fuluvaka passed away on December 13, 2023 in Saratoga Springs, Utah. She was born May 4, 1965 in Tatakamotonga, Tonga to Afei Taulalo Finau and Anasiu Lolovao Taungakava. She married Laie in 1991 and Okusitino Fuluvaka in 2001.

She loved making leis, going dancing and serving others that in need. She loved quality time with her family. They were very important to her. She was a woman of faith. She loved to travel. She enjoyed being around her grandbabies and enjoying their hugs and kisses.

Mele is survived by her mother ‘Anasiu, 16 siblings, her 8 children, James, Eseta, Sina, Seini, Salesi, Nathen, Sisi and Holi. Her beautiful grandchildren, Paea Jr., Luna, Laie, Sosefo, Blayze, Toatea, JJ, Melsetina, Mia, Dallas. She loved multiples of her nieces and nephews.

She is preceded by her first husband Laie, her dads ‘Afeitaulalo and Sitani, and by her sister Luseane.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 22, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. at Memorial Redwood Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah 84123 with a public viewing form 9:30-10:30 a.m. before the services. Interment will be at Memorial Redwood Cemetery.
