We are heartbroken to share the sudden loss of Meleda Hope Tresner Mullin of Balsam Lake Wisconsin, a loving wife and mother of five. At just 48, she passed away on October 2nd, 2024, after a brief illness. She leaves behind her husband, Steve, and their four children-James, Emma, Lincoln and Ammon, along with her mother Doreen Tresner and siblings Pamela, David, Mark, Stephen, Phillip, Paul, Lisa, Melanie and Michelle. She was preceded in death by her daughter Felicity, father Billy Tresner Sr. and brothers Billy Jr. and James.
Meleda grew up in Kearns, the youngest of twelve children. She was a very outgoing and happy child and was constantly surrounded by family. She spent her childhood playing and traveling with her large extended family. In school, Meleda excelled from a young age and was the first in her family to receive a master’s degree. Along with being a mom she worked as a dental assistant and aerobics instructor before settling into teaching in the St. Croix school district in Wisconsin, as well as teaching BYU online courses. She was very talented in gymnastics, dance and theater. Her voice was angelic and she performed often, singing the national anthem at the universities she attended, and performing in local theater productions and church performances . She shared this talent with her children and cherished the time they spent together practicing and performing in different productions. She adored her children and was so proud of them. Meleda sang and danced through life, always smiling with the crazy high energy that she had. We will miss her dearly and are grateful for the knowledge that we will see her again. We love you forever Meleda.
