Merle Edward Musick

January 28, 1918 — July 22, 2007

Ed passed away on Sunday evening while in the company of loving friends and family. Ed was born on Jan. 28, 1918 in Malakoff, Texas and grew up in an orphanage in Waxahachie, Texas. Ed served proudly in the Army Air Corps during WWII. He married the love of his life Beulah Fay Rostetter on Feb. 1, 1946. a year later they were blessed with their only daughter Juanita Fay. Ed was a skilled watchmaker and in real estate for many years in Southern California. Ed is survived by his wife of 61 years Beulah Fay Musick: his one remaing brother Milton Dee Musick: his only child Juanita Fay Dalton: his five grandchildren Megan Marie Dalton, Whitney Ann Dalton Sims, Joseph Huntington Dalton, Sally Fay Dalton, and Kathryn Musick Dalton Moir: as well as his four great-grandchilren Cassidy Fay Knapp, Jake Edward Dalton, Ainsley Paige Sims, and Brandon Michael Sims. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and three sisters. Services will be held on Friday, July 27th at 11:00am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints East Millcreek Building, 3408 South Celeste Way (3120 East) in Salt Lake. A Viewing will be held from 9:45am to 10:45am prior to services. An earlier viewing will be held on Thursday, July 26th at Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
